Who is 30/60 Performance Art Camp for Kids?

Bill Coelius is a professional actor and writer who has written over 100 plays (all of them under two minutes) and has performed on stage, film and television. As a Teaching Artist he has taught creative storytelling, script writing and performing skills to students both here in Los Angeles and in New York City. He is a three time national champion in prose, poetry and duo public speaking forensics competitions. He holds a B.A. in Philosophy, and a B.A. in Theatre Arts from Eastern Michigan University. He also originated a performance summer camp called The Art Thieves Conservatory, a school for the brilliant and sneaky, as well as The 30/60 PACK, a performance art summer experience for kids.
As a kid, Rachelle studied ballet and music and went on to earn a BFA from NYU and an MFA from CalArts. After directing, performing and writing for HERE Theatre, The Neo-Futurists, NADA and Clemente Soto Velez for nearly 10 years, Rachelle was named a US Fulbright Scholar to India in 2004-5 as a performance artist and writer. Since then, she has combined creative expression and personal & community development, developing public art programs, in-school arts residencies and creative immersion retreats for kids, teens, and families through Young Audiences New York and Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. Certified by YogaEd. ™ to teach yoga to kids, grades K-8, Rachelle is a committed artist, educator and program developer.

With fun, mind-expanding games & exercises in dance, music, story telling, and creative writing, we generate 30 short plays to be performed in an order determined by a live audience in an awe-inspiring 60 minutes.
